Greenbluff or Green Bluff?

up on the bluff, and maybe even beyond, There is a burning question on everyone’s mind…is greenbluff one word, or is it, green bluff, with two words? There is a passionate faction of adamant people who are certain, greenbluff is one word. greenbluff road was one word for decades (now its two). greenbluff appears all over signage and advertising around the bluff. even in official green bluff places you see reference to greenbluff. pictured above on the growers logo since 1902 it looks like one word. certainly greenbluff is one word? you are probably thinking, who cares, really? and the answer is, the other fervent faction of people; the two word green bluff people otherwise called, the historians, the cold hard facts people. I am here to break it to you, one-worders, greenbluff is indeed, two words. the historians have spoken. they came with their documents. and they are correct. in the pre-internet age, local farmers paid for weekly ads in papers to sell their wares to the public and were charged per word. green bluff became greenbluff to pinch a couple pennies, one word took over, and now there is a few generations of people who nostalgically know and love greenbluff while the two-worders try to clean up over 100 years of confusion. green bluff is aesthetically unrecognizable, foreign, nay, wrong. but it is not wrong, it is historically accurate. so here at the design studio we will swing it both ways depending upon each design. sometimes a rebel and sometimes a purist. we aim to please both factions by making designs for everyone. just remember, its only a space.
